Ajuga tenorei Princess Nadia Bugleweed

Princess Nadia, acts as ground cover, perfect for that shady spot although it does well in the sun as well. It has cream edged light green leaves, and loads of purple blowers flowers. Grow in a moist well drained soil. Height 15cm, spread 30cm.

Arbutus Unedo Strawberry Tree

A. unedo is a large evergreen shrub with dark green leaves. It bears strawberry-like red fruits in autumn, when it’s creamy white or pink flowers also emerge. Grow in full sun in amoist well drained soil. Height and spread 5m

Betula Utilis Jacquemontii Silver Birch’ Tree

This is a vigorous deciduous medium sized tree noted for their brilliant white bark on the trunk and larger branches; It’s leaves turn yellow in autumn. Yellow-brown male catkins to 12cm long open in early spring. Grow in full sun or semi shade in a well drained soil. Height 15m, spread 6m.

Buxus Sempervirens Ball ‘Boxwood’

Buxus  sempervirens is a large, slow-growing evergreen shrub  which if left alone will grow to a height of  5m or more. They are commonly trimmed into a variety of shapes, a process which takes a number of years. Grow in shade or partial shade in a well drained moist soil.

Carex comans ‘Frosted Curls’ sedge

‘Frosted Curls’ is an evergreen perennial grass with a multitude of very fine, white-green leaves. Grow them in groups for best effect. Grow them in a moist, well drained soil. Height and spread 30cm.

Carpinus Betulus Fastigiata ‘European Hornbeam’ Tree

‘Fastigiata’ is a medium-sized deciduous tree, with leaves turning a beautiful yellow in autumn. At the same time, catkins or flowering spikes are born, up to 8cm long. Grow in full sun or partial shade in a moist well drained soil. Height 10m, width 5m.

Dicksonia ‘Antarctica’ Tree Fern

D. antarctica is a shade loving evergreen tree fern, but which may lose its leaves in colder areas’ It grows slowly up to height of 3m,. Plant in a shady, moist but well drained soil. Height 3m, spread 2m

Euonymus ‘Fortunei’ Emerald ‘n’ Gold

This Euonymus is a dwarf evergreen shrub with yellow leaves. They give you a permanent patch of colour in your garden, and are undemanding plants to grow in sun or shade. Grow in a moist well drained soil. Height 1m, spread 1.5m.
